PTA Meeting Minutes  - May 5, 2010

Call to order :  President Jennifer Scott-Greenall called the meeting to order at 12:07 PM
 
Attendance : Jennifer Scott-Greenall, David Raymond, Robyn Batchman, Karen Bovetti, Anici Schultz, Julie Acquefresca, Sandra Kempf, Johanna Washam, Vanessa Ross, Mike Rook, Samantha Tate, Ann Brodersen, Joan Kingsford, Wendy Miller, Lisa Glass, Casey Camarillo, Jenifer Lechman.

Approval of Minutes :  The motion was made by Mike Rook  and approved by Casey Camarillo.

Treasurer Report :   A list of checks was presented since the last meeting and a motion was made by Jenifer Lechman to ratify the checks and seconded by Sandra Kempf.  The beginning balance was 45285.61 with less checks and plus deposits our ending balance is 42,147.18.

Committee Reports:

1. Teacher Appreciation Week - Will be starting on the 10th.  Casey Camarillo reviled some of her plans for the week.
2. Moms & Muffins - This Friday 7th @ 7:15 am.
3. Water Play Day - Mike Rook reported that the wheels are in motion for this event.
4. Bear Facts - Deadline May 15th.   Submit online if possible.  mwrook@sbcglobal.net     

New Business:

1. Election of 2010-2011 PTA Officers.
2. President - Lisa Glass
3. VP Programs - Jessica Figallo
4. VP Membership - Keri Castillo
5. Secretary - David Raymond
6. Treasurer - Sandra Kempf
7. Parliamentarian - Jennifer Scott-Greenall
8. Historian - Stacy Hyde
9. Auditor - Christina Johnson
10. Nominees were read by Jenifer Lechman and all present approved of the new officers.
11. Training for the new officers will be @ Scicon on June the 12th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Motion was made that the PTA to pay the $10.00 per. person fee for the training.  Motion made by Jenifer Lechman and second by Julie Acquefresca.
12. Wendy Miller has acquired the digital copy of the Mural.  It will be kept in a safe place for future us for the school.

Principals Report: Samantha Tate

1. After School connections will be starting up May 12th - 27th.
2. Poster needed for Open House (What PTA has done for the School this past year).
3. VUSD has a public forum on May 20th and June 17th in Conference Rm #4.
